Tack & Talk Regatta 2027
Five nights. Four days on the water. Twenty company crews.
After thirty-three regatta starts and three world championships, we are on the other side of the start line for once: Tangreto is co-organising a corporate regatta of its own. Twenty companies, one boat each, nine races in the Šibenik archipelago — and half the points earned ashore.
One company, one boat, one crew
No mixed crews and no boats assembled from several firms. A team sails as a company, in a space the size of a living room, for five nights. Nobody slips away to a call and nobody disappears after the second course. That is the whole point: at sea a company shows its true colours.
Half the points are not won on the water
Nine races over four race days carry half of the total score. The other half comes from the programme ashore, so a crew that is slower on the water is never out of the running by Wednesday — and the content keeps working after everyone is back in the marina.
Nobody needs to be a sailor
Every boat sails with an experienced skipper, and caution is never penalised: a safety retirement scores the average of your legs so far, not a defeat. No night sailing, the fleet commander cancels a leg above 25 knots, and there is zero alcohol tolerance for whoever is steering.

Michal Hrivnák is the fleet commander: 33 regatta starts since 2013, three world championships and category wins at Round Long Island and EST105. The event is prepared by AJservices, s.r.o. as main organiser, with Tangreto, s.r.o. as co-organiser.
What a company actually gets out of five days on a boat.
Five days, one room
A boat is a space the size of a living room that you cannot leave. Decisions get made in front of everyone, roles sort themselves out within a day, and the people who normally talk least are usually the ones who turn out to be steering well by Thursday.
A shared challenge, not team building
Nothing here is a staged exercise. Nine races are scored, the results are public, and the conditions are whatever the Adriatic decides that morning. A company competes against nineteen others, which is a very different thing from competing against a facilitator with a flipchart.
The organising is ours
Boats, skippers, berths, race management, safety cover and the programme ashore are arranged. A company arrives with its team and nothing else to solve.

Questions we get asked
Nobody in our team has ever sailed. Can we still take part?
Yes. Every boat sails with an experienced skipper, and the rules are built so that a cautious decision is never punished. Most crews on the start line will be in the same position.
Can we share a boat with another company?
No. One boat carries one team from one company. Mixed crews would break both the competition and the point of the week.
Is registration open?
Not yet. The fleet and the terms are being finalised and places are not promised until they are confirmed. You can leave your contact on the event site and you will hear from the organiser when the next step is ready.
