Ten nights through the Abaco cays on a catamaran, with two days ashore at a golf course that runs along the ocean. Green fees included, four double cabins, eight people.
The Abacos are the one cruising ground where this combination actually works. The sailing is sheltered, the legs are short — six to twenty-two miles a day — and The Abaco Club on Winding Bay sits at the southern end of the chain, so the golf is a stop on the route rather than a detour from it.
The week is built so neither half gets squeezed. Five days working north through the cays, two days at Winding Bay with morning tee times, then back down to Hope Town and Marsh Harbour. Non-golfers get the beach, Sandy Cay and the boat while the others play.
It runs on fixed dates in January, in the middle of Abaco's dry season — the most settled weather of the year, around 24 °C in the day and a sea at 24 to 25 °C.

Nine stops, eleven days
Marsh Harbour is the start and the finish. The dotted track runs inside the Sea of Abaco — the sheltered strip of turquoise between the mainland of Great Abaco and the barrier cays — with the southern leg down to Little Harbour and the golf. Tap a stop on the map, or in the list under it.

The Abaco Club on Winding Bay
A private club on the Winding Bay peninsula, south of Marsh Harbour, on a course that turns up regularly in lists of the best in the Caribbean. Holes run along the ocean on one side and the inner bay on the other, which is the whole reason to play it.

The club is not an official Port of Entry and berth availability moves around, so the berth is confirmed directly with the club by phone before the trip.

Both take eight guests in four double cabins. The difference is space and bathrooms — on the SeaView every cabin has its own. Prices below are for the January 2027 departure.

Questions we get asked
Do we all have to play golf?
No, and most groups are mixed. The two golf days are at Winding Bay with the boat anchored below the club, so the non-golfers get the beach, the clubhouse pool, or the dinghy out to Sandy Cay to snorkel. Nobody is stranded anywhere.
Do I need sailing experience?
None. There is a skipper aboard and the sailing is short and sheltered — six to twenty-two miles a day inside the Sea of Abaco. If you want to helm you will helm; if you would rather not, that is the normal case.
What is included in the price?
Fuel, marina and mooring fees, breakfast aboard, and the green fees for both rounds including cart. Lunch, dinner and any catering beyond breakfast are not, nor are APA and insurance.
Do I need to bring clubs?
You can bring your own or hire at the club. Worth deciding early, because hire sets are not unlimited. The dress code is enforced: collared shirt, no t-shirts and no short shorts.
How do we get to Marsh Harbour?
Marsh Harbour has direct flights only from the United States and from within the Bahamas, so from Europe you connect through Nassau or a Florida hub — usually Miami or Fort Lauderdale. From the airport to the marina is a short taxi ride.
What is the weather like in January?
About 24 °C in the day and 21 °C at night, with the sea at 24 to 25 °C. January is the middle of the dry season and the most settled weather of the year — well outside hurricane season, which ends on 30 November.
Can we go on different dates?
The published departure is fixed because the tee times and the club berth are booked ahead. If you have your own group of six to eight and a different week in January or February in mind, tell us and we will price it as a private charter.
Do I need a visa?
Slovak and other EU passport holders do not currently need a visa for a tourist stay of up to three months. You need a passport valid well beyond the trip and an onward ticket. Check the current rules before you book.
